Home for the Holidays.

I was honored to be offered the opportunity to report a story for Marketplace (my first national piece)! “Home for the Holidays” is based in Orange Park Florida and the story covers the Greenlee family, who were facing the upcoming Christmas holiday with little-to-no financial stability after losing their homes to foreclosure.

Beth and Scott Greenlee.

Katie, we have a mutual friend in Niki P! She said I should look up your site cause we both have audio backgrounds. I’d love to chat sometime. Visit my site (jonathanhanst.com) and you’ll find contact info. Happy New Year!

    Katie,

Once again, a very strong piece! I feel close to them. I have what I think to be a good job, but I have to realize that I am a missed pay period or two from the same thing that they are experiencing. My heart goes out to them.

Hi Rick, thank you so much for having a listen and for connecting with this family. I agree.; I feel like they represent most of us Americans who are not only working to make ends meet but also hoping to get into a position where we can even get ahead some day.

Katie, Thank you for your kind words. Frankly, I sometimes think about how my parents dealt with the Great Depression and how I benefited from their efforts. I also think about how my generation got wrapped up in its excesses, that may have cost the next generation the security my parents generation worked so hard to give. The boomer generation generated a lot of good, but also some bad.
